Yadav was bought by the Lucknow Super Giants for the 2023 IPL season but missed the season due to injury. He made his IPL debut in 2024 against the Punjab Kings and immediately impressed, picking up three wickets while giving away only 27 runs. In this spell, Yadav bowled the fastest ball in IPL 2024 which registered a speed of 155.8 kph. He even won the Man of the Match award in his debut match!

He followed up this performance with another stellar showing against Royal Challengers Bangalore, where he took 3 wickets for just 14 runs and bowled the fastest ball at 156.7 kph, breaking his record for the fastest delivery in IPL 2024. This made him the first cricketer to win two consecutive Player-of-the-Match awards in his first two matches.
